We've been hosting events and having as much fun as possible since the very beginning. From the purchase of historic Fairmount Hall in 2005 to our grand opening in 2018 and the next chapter starting now, this is the story of JXN Station and the families behind it.
Historic photos of Fairmount Hall from its earliest days as a community gathering place — long before it would become JXN Station.
We've been hosting events and having as much fun as possible since the beginning. It all started with the purchase of the historic Fairmount Hall in August 2005, the original event center in the town of Fairmount — near what is now Colorado Mesa University and Rem's Place — laying the foundation for what would eventually become JXN Station.
Deb Hogstad sets up Fairmount Hall's initial community event space and kitchen, and promotes Historic Fairmount Hall as an event space for meetings, banquets, classes, receptions, and more — laying the groundwork for the community focus that would carry through to JXN Station.
A full remodel of the historic building begins, lifting the entire structure to level it out and building out what would become the Experience Center, ahead of its new life as JXN Station.
JXN Station's operations begin inside the historic Fairmount Hall, with Mountain View Window & Door opening its second Grand Junction location — the open house invitation and showroom from October 2014.
We've been training and building brands for a long time. Mountain View Window & Door hosts a Training and Technology seminar at Historic Fairmount Hall in February 2015 with Milgard and ThermaTru, followed by a Spring Training event in March 2015 with David Stawser of Andersen Windows & Doors, covering the Andersen product portfolio and the new 100 Series line.
We've been involved with the Home Builders Association and events like the Parade of Homes for decades. Here are some of the beautiful projects we were part of in 2017.
As internet sales changed the landscape, we discontinued our hardware showroom — just like we do with the community of JXN Station, we adapt as the market shifts.
The Grand Junction expansion begins with closing on the building at 25 Road — Devon and Sarah at closing, Rick and Keith building out the second-floor structure, Grant and Don arriving to help turn the space into the MVWD Experience Center with coworking above, Devon welding signs at the Turkey Toe Blacksmith shop, and moving "the spaceship" into the new building.
With the new 25 Road facility underway, the original Fairmount Hall location is sold to Rem's Tobacco Shop, closing out that chapter of the building's history.
Window and door products are gathered and transferred from Denver to Grand Junction to stock the new MVWD Experience Center.
Custom art letters for the new 25 Road building were built during the initial Turkey Toe retreats.
JXN Station opens its doors in Grand Junction — a coworking space and experience center built by the Hogstad and Tilly families, anchored by Mountain View Window & Door's showroom.
Devon Tilly records a live episode of The Art of Construction podcast at the JXN Station grand opening, with special guests Brian Watson (co-founder of Proximity Space), Cindi McMurray of CP Designs, and Tom Reber of The Contractor Fight.
JXN Station integrates Proximity's coworking software to manage its new coworking space. Devon Tilly and guest host Tom Reber sit down with Brian Watson, Director of Community Development at Proximity, on The Art of Construction podcast to talk about how coworking benefits businesses of all kinds — listen to Episode 111: Coworking for Contractors.

Cindi McMurray of CP Designs has been part of JXN Station since the very beginning in 2018 and is still a valued member of our community today — a true original. We're proud to have her design expertise as part of JXN Station's story from day one. Here's a look back at her original space, since converted into a server room, along with CP Designs' very first layout of JXN Station's Experience Center.
